This room (like almost every room in our home) was a blank slate with white walls, light carpet and big open space.  Here are the “before” pics:

Ever since coming across a room painted Adagio (by Benjamin Moore) on the internet last year, I knew I wanted one room in our home to be this color.  The blue gray color is so soothing and we decided it would be perfect for our master bedroom.

We also had crown moulding installed, moved our furniture in, picked up a new duvet, throw pillows and a new slipper chair.  Here is how it looks today:

Details of the duvet cover that we picked up from LNT on clearance (does the custom photo at the top of this site look familiar?):

We still want to replace the carpet, add wall decor and add some decor to the top of the dresser so I wil be updating with all of that soon.

These are our two photo wall ideas for the stairway from the foyer to the second floor. I’m not sure which one I prefer yet and we may throw in some black frames that we have laying around also, but it’s fun playing around with frame arrangements.

We picked up all the frames at Kohl’s during a Buy 1 Get 1 Free promotion.  Saved a bundle!

We have a small entryway from the living room into our master bedroom and we were debating on what to put in this area for a while.

before

While perusing the Pottery Barn catalog a few weeks ago, I found this Modern Ledge with grooves for frames and ordered the 3′ set of three in white from the PB online store.

Most of the frames we already had and some we picked up from Target. I decided to do mostly black and white pictures and framed some other sentimental things like our wedding invitation, an old postcard with the college we went to pictured on it from the early 1900’s (that I received in the mail from a coworkers wife who also went to our college – very cool!) and a page from a Tahiti info book (our honeymoon location). Here’s the final product:

I’m already itching to rearrange and switch out some photos!
