This was the first room that we finished completely. It wasn’t in the worst shape, but it did need some updating. We painted (BM Yarmouth Blue), replaced the hardware on the cabinet and drawers under the sink, updated the light fixture, replaced the towel bar and shower curtain rod, added a new white waffle weave shower curtain, a few framed photos and installed a new white cabinet (from Target) above the toilet for extra storage.

We have a tray ceiling in our hallway that was barely noticeable before, but now with the new crown moulding, paint (BM Shaker Beige 50% lighter) and a new light fixture it really pops!

The very first thing we did on closing day was rip out the dirty carpet in the living room, dining room hallway and office/den. We replaced it with Dream Home – St. James 12MM Westminister Rosewood High Gloss Laminate flooring from Lumber Liquidators. This was our first DIY project and we just haven’t stopped since!
