Well, it’s been over a year since this blog has been updated and we’ve done so much to the house and have a new addition to our family!

This was me during most of 2009…

Our little girl, Sienna, was born in August and is almost 6 months old now.  We are just so in love with her and have been spending every waking moment with her so we don’t miss anything.  She changes by the minute!

But now we can finally put some more time and energy into our house again and the Casamacho blog.  Yay!  Can’t wait to share what we’ve done around the house lately… oh and to share the final kitchen reno pics!!!   I realize I never did that, sorry.

What’s to come:

-Final kitchen pics
-Foyer update
-Sienna’s nursery
-Master bedroom decor
-Upcoming projects
-Baby stuff*

*Sooooooo since I’m a new mommy now it’s only natural that I’d want to talk about mommy stuff too so just to warn you some posts might be parenting related, baby related, etc.  🙂

Like the post before this said…. STAY TUNED!  For real this time…

We need a new light fixture with a fan for our master bedroom.  I found a few today while browsing the Lamps Plus website that I like and was hoping you could help us decide.

This is our second Christmas in Florida (we had lived in NY our entire lives), so it’s still hard to get into the holiday spirit when it’s 80 degrees and sunny everyday with palm trees everywhere!  But, after we put up our little tree and some holiday decor it started feeling more like Christmas.

This room (like almost every room in our home) was a blank slate with white walls, light carpet and big open space.  Here are the “before” pics:

Ever since coming across a room painted Adagio (by Benjamin Moore) on the internet last year, I knew I wanted one room in our home to be this color.  The blue gray color is so soothing and we decided it would be perfect for our master bedroom.

We also had crown moulding installed, moved our furniture in, picked up a new duvet, throw pillows and a new slipper chair.  Here is how it looks today:

Details of the duvet cover that we picked up from LNT on clearance (does the custom photo at the top of this site look familiar?):

We still want to replace the carpet, add wall decor and add some decor to the top of the dresser so I wil be updating with all of that soon.

Recently you saw the “den” side of our office/den and here you’ll get to see the “office” side.  One of the first things we bought after we closed on our home was a new desk.

Len does a lot of graphic design work at home so having a TV in this room was essential, only there really wasn’t anywhere to put it other than on the wall above the desk.  It actually turned out to be the perfect spot:

We also picked up this leather organizer and charging station from BB&B.  It’s perfect for our desk essentials (pens, scissors, disks, etc) and the charging station keeps all the wires from our gadgets hidden:

We find ourselves hanging out more in here than in the living room!

We never had a dining room table before, since we always lived in small apartments with no dining rooms, so it took a while to find the right one.  Although we still don’t really have a separate dining room, we do have a really cute dining area that definitely called for a square table.  We found this counter-height table by Cindy Crawford at Rooms To Go (got it in antique black) and since they were having a sale we got two extra chairs for a total of 6 chairs:

It took a while for our dining room to even be ready for a new table!  Here is the before:

And here it is with some paint, new floors, new moulding and a light fixture:

Finally, here it is now:

We loved the overall design, the sturdiness of the table and how the detail on the legs kinda matched our new crown and base moulding:

It has a butterfly leaf so when it’s closed it’s a rectangle and open is a square… we always keep it open:

We just love our little dining area now!
